Dr. Jezewski is a nurse anthropologist whose research focuses on the development and dissemination of a middle range theory of culture brokering. Her studies focus on patient/provider interaction, emphasizing clients' access and use of healthcare services and nurses' facilitation of client health care. Most recently her research has focused on end-of-life decision-making and Advance Directives within an advocacy/brokering framework. Settings for her research have included migrant farm worker clnics, homeless primary care clinics, oncology and critical care units.

Dr. Wu provides the Center's clients with research and statistical consultation. His research program has focused on applications of quantitative research methodology and data-based studies. Specific interest areas include multi-level data analysis, hierarchical linear models, longitudinal data analysis, and AIDS related research. He teaches research methods and multivariate analysis courses at the graduate level.

Rana is in the second year of the nursing PhD program. Her research focus is on Jordanian women with early stage breast cancer perceptions about surgival treatment decision making. Her role in the CNR is to facilitate faculty scholarship through helping with literature searches, poster design and print, assist with survey design, data entry and analysis, manuscript formatting and proofreading, and help with tenure.

CNR responsibilities relate to assisting faculty with scholarship activities. This includes (but is not limited to) assisting with research project design (ie: survey design, IRB protocol), data collection (ie: focus groups, survey administration), data analysis (SPSS analysis, qualitative analysis), and manuscript preparation. Responsibilities also include helping to prepare poster presentations, conference presentations, literature searches, and dossier review.
The CNR also has work study students available to assist with tasks such as photocopying, retrieving literature, and specified literature searches.
