- Combined B.S./M.S. programs require an Associates degree or diploma in nursing.
- Master’s programs require a Baccalaureate degree in nursing.
- Nurse anesthetist program requires a minimum of one year critical care experience.
- Advanced certificate programs require a Master’s degree in nursing.

Graduate students can apply to the UB School of Nursing online for a fee of only $50.00.
International applicants are also required to complete the University International Graduate Student Application and Financial Statement forms and may be required to submit scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language and the "SPEAK" test.
Selection for admission involves a thoughtful examination of the total application including undergraduate overall grade point average (GPA), Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores (if required), leadership abilities, references, interview and other factors that suggest the potential for academic success. Cultural and ethnic diversity are both highly valued in the School of Nursing.
